With over 75 years of collective experience in the adult education sector, Skillsfirst’s passionate and talented team have an in-depth understanding of the world of work-based learning. We use this knowledge every day to deliver simple, seamless service with the learner at its heart.

Myra Wall - Managing Director and Responsible Officer

 

Myra launched Skillsfirst Awards Ltd in 2008 with the mission to develop and deliver qualifications that would have a significant impact on the employability prospects and career trajectories of individuals in a wide range of industries, using her own knowledge and experience from previous senior roles in the adult learning sector.

 

Starting an enterprise from scratch required Myra to personally strategise and oversee every aspect of the company, including finance, regulatory compliance, sales, and client and partner relationships, while simultaneously planning for every possible contingency. Myra now adopts this holistic approach while assessing projects and initiatives, in order to identify development areas and conceive and implement viable, effective improvements.

 

Myra strongly believes that a business is nothing without its people. Over the last six years she has hand-picked and continually mentored a talented, passionate team, each and every member of which has proved crucial to the on-going growth of Skillsfirst.

Fraser Ingham - Sales and Marketing Director

 

Fraser joined Skillsfirst having previously worked for two of the largest awarding organisations in the UK.

 

He has extensive knowledge of both vocational and general education, leading teams that have supported the successful delivery of qualifications in the UK.

He has also collaborated frequently with key stakeholders as new qualifications and initiatives have been introduced.

 

Cheryl Collett - Operations Director

 

As Operations Director for Skillsfirst Awards, Cheryl possesses over 20 years continuous experience of working with one of the largest awarding organisations within the vocational education sector; encompassing quality, compliance and investigative work, in addition to managing and overseeing various teams and stages of delivery providing customers with a high level of customer service.

Cheryl has also been involved in several national projects, both improving upon and developing quality assurance systems.
