Qualification summary

This qualification has been designed for a recruitment consultant who is able to demonstrate a good range of knowledge and experience within their role.

This qualification can also help you to advance in your career within a recruitment environment by confirming and/or developing your competency in a range of activities including:


•  identifying client recruitment requirements
•  assessing candidates
•  developing working relationships with colleagues
•  sustaining customer-focused relationships with clients
•  developing sales proposals


Whilst this qualification forms part of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Recruitment (Level 3), the qualification may also be undertaken outside the Apprenticeship. This could be for learners who do not meet the age or qualification requirements for a full Apprenticeship, or who wish to use the qualification for CPD re-skill etc.

Learners who achieve this qualification will be able to progress onto the:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Recruitment Practice (RQF)
  • Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment (RQF)

or onto the following Skillsfirst qualifications:

  • Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management (RQF)
  • Level 5 Diploma in the Principles of Management and Leadership (RQF)

or progress into a senior consultant position within the recruitment environment.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification.

A total of 41 credits must be achieved to gain the qualification as follows:

All 28 credits must be completed from Group M

A minimum of 13 credits must be achieved from Group O

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) are 188
