Qualification summary

The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Employment in Hospitality (RQF) will provide you with the knowledge and basic skills set so that you can work in the hospitality industry. The skills gained will support your development as:

  • bar person
  • catering assistant
  • kitchen assistant

or other related roles.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification. This qualification is made up of 100% vocational units.

This qualification is ideal if you are are undertaking the work placement element of a Traineeship. Find out more about Traineeships here.

It will also provide you with a foundation to enable progression onto any of the job role specific Intermediate Apprenticeships in Hospitality and Catering or into employment.
