Qualification summary

This qualification has been designed for those of you who want to work in or those who are new to recruitment. It allows you to develop an understanding of the knowledge and the skills required for a career in the recruitment sector in roles such as a Trainee Recruitment Resourcer. 

If you are looking for recognition of your competency within this sector then you should consider the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing or the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment depending on experience.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of prior learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification.

The qualification covers the range of activities and processes carried out by trainee recruitment consultants and resourcers working within a recruitment business. These include:

  • the selection processes
  • sales techniques and processes used by recruiters
  • use of research in recruitment
  • selection and developing working relationships with colleagues.

It also covers the legal, regulatory and ethical requirements that affect the overall recruitment process.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress onto:

  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing (RQF)
  • Level 3 Certificate Principles of Recruitment (RQF)
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment (RQF)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Management (RQF)

or on to higher level qualifications.
