As a learner starting a qualification through a VTCT (Skillsfirst) centre the Learner Guide to Qualifications document will give you an insight into what you can expect.
If you are interested in achieving a Skillsfirst qualification you can locate a centre to study at as follows:
- Go to https://www.skillsfirst.co.uk/qualifications/
- From the right hand menu, locate and note the applicable qualification code, IEC1 for example
- Go to https://www.vtct.org.uk/
- From the Home page, scroll to the ‘I’m looking for:’ section and select the ‘Qualifications’ dropdown
- In the ‘Keywords’ section enter the qualification code and press your Enter button or select the ‘Search’ button
- Select the qualification title link
- Select the ‘APPROVED CENTRES’ button
- Using the information displayed, click on a suitable centre name link
- Details, including full location and range of qualifications approved are now displayed
- Contact the centre directly for information regarding course fees, start dates and duration
