Qualification summary

This qualification has been designed to give you a broader range of “soft skills”, knowledge and confidence to help you overcome barriers to enter the work place.

These include:

  • searching for a job
  • preparing for interviews and speaking confidentially
  • career planning and making applications
  • rights and responsibilities in the workplace
  • understanding conflict at work
  • effective skills, qualities and attitudes for learning and work

Learners taking this qualification can include the unemployed, young people in full time education, students following vocational training programmes and adults looking to re-enter the workplace. These skills are highly valued by today’s employers. They will not only help you look for a new job but will also help you remain in employment. If you require a more basic skills set then you could choose to take the Level 1 Award in Developing Employability Skills (RQF). This qualification is made up of 100% non vocational units.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification.
