RDA3 – VTCT (Skillsfirst) Level 3 Award in the Role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (RQF)
This qualification has been designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to understand the roles and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the importance of child protection legislation, the referral process and multi-agency working. It also covers the importance of record-keeping.
It could also be suitable for those seeking employment who having the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable competences. It could also be used as CPD for experienced and specialist staff seeking a qualification to recognise their competence.
The aim of this qualification is to enable you to develop the skills and understanding of record keeping, the referral process and multi-agency working. It also enables you to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the importance of child protection legislation.
This qualification also has a wider use and could be recognised outside the child/adult care sector .
