Qualification summary
The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Employment in Warehousing and Storage (RQF) will provide you with the basic knowledge, skills and understanding to work in a warehousing and storage facility within the logistics sector. It provides a pre-employment route as well as a foundation for those already working in this sector to progress to the Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (RQF). This qualification is made up of 100% vocational units. It covers:
- moving and handling
- assembling orders
- packing goods
This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification.
This qualification is ideally suited to learners who are undertaking the work placement element of a Traineeship. Find out more about Traineeships here.
This qualification will provide you with a foundation to enable progression onto the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage or into employment as a:
- trainee warehouse operative
- storeroom operative
or similar role.
If you feel you already have a basic knowledge of this sector then you could choose the Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (RQF).
